Sustainable Landscaping

Water usage doubles during the growing season in Los Alamos as homeowners, businesses and organizations attend to landscapes. The NMSU Cooperative Extension Office, located on Bathtub Row, is an excellent resource for all things landscaping.

Sustainable Landscape Design Training

In Fall 2023, DPU partnered with New Mexico State University Cooperative Extension Agency and the Los Alamos Master Gardeners to create a step-by-step landscape transformation series. This 7-part workshop covers everything you might need to know. Or you could hire local landscape professionals and you'll have great background knowledge.
