REDEMPTION OF IMPOUNDED ANIMALS Fees for the redemption by the keeper of an impounded animal shall be $0 if the animal is redeemed within 24 hours.
Fees for the redemption by the keeper of an impounded animal shall be $35 per day, per animal, after the first 24 hours. Reimbursement of costs for impounded animals by the keeper shall be the actual cost(s) incurred by the County for the pickup, boarding and care, including veterinary expenses while the impounded animal was in the County’s possession. Does my dog or cat need a county license? Los Alamos County Animal Control does not require a county license. Your dog or cat must have current rabies vaccinations.
