Procurement serves to maximize the value of public funds. We continuously strive to offer and manage a procurement system of quality and integrity. Procurement is responsible for purchasing, contracting, receiving and material management.

 

Procurement Code - Los Alamos County Code of Ordinances Chapter 31

  • Code of Ordinances Chapter 31 Sec. 31-233. "The county shall have no obligation for payment of goods, services, or construction that were improperly or unlawfully procured."
  • “Illegal Acts: It is unlawful to offer, solicit, demand, accept or agree to accept, give or agree to give gratuities or kickbacks. County Code and New Mexico statutes impose criminal, civil and administrative penalties for bribes, gratuities, and kickbacks.”

Under the State of New Mexico's Inspection of Public Records Act, any individual may request to inspect (and possibly copy) any public records that are the responsibility of Los Alamos County. If you would like to request to inspect Procurement records, please visit the County's Records Management site for instructions.
