Reuse Centers

2020 Reuse Area

Reducing Waste Through Reuse

An effective way to minimize waste is by reusing items and sharing them with others. The Eco Station and Overlook Convenience Center feature a designated Reuse Area, where gently used items in good condition can find a second life.

Accepted Items

The Reuse Areas accept:

  • Unused or like-new building materials
  • Fully functional appliances (with all components included)
  • Other gently used or well-maintained items

Items Not Accepted

The following items cannot be left at the Reuse Area:

  • Mattresses
  • Household hazardous waste (e.g., paints, stains, cleaners, pesticides, etc.). Please see the Household Hazardous Waste program.
  • Clothing
  • Broken or damaged items

For those looking to recycle clothing, a Big Brother Big Sister collection box is available at both the Eco Station and Tewa Market.

Residents are welcome to take items from the Reuse Area at no cost. However, leaving items at the Reuse Area will count toward the annual limit of 12 free loads per household.

By participating in reuse initiatives, we can collectively reduce waste and promote sustainability in our community.
