Homebuyer Resources

The Homebuyer Assistance Program (HAP) is managed by the Los Alamos Housing Partnership (LAHP) by agreement with the County. The program assists income qualifying households with a non-amortizing down payment deferred loan with County funding for homebuyers within the County. This program also provides homeowner education training. The application period is open year round as funds are available. This subsidy loan funded by Los Alamos County through the Los Alamos Housing Partnership is designed to help income-qualified homeowners make needed repairs or improvements without the burden of a monthly payment. Additionally, no monthly payments are due on the loan until the home is sold, vacated, or the title is otherwise transferred.
