Los Alamos County officials confirm that while most of the Los Alamos County Golf Course remains closed to allow newly installed turf to take root, several amenities are still open to the public.
Golfers can enjoy the practice range and main putting green, which remain open for individual and group practice. Range balls are available Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. On Sundays, the range closes early at 3:30 p.m. to allow for mowing preparation on Monday mornings.
The Pro Shop is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., offering golfing equipment and apparel. Cottonwood on the Greens, the on-site restaurant, is open for dine-in and take-out service from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, including Sundays.
In addition, the golf course community room is available for event rentals, with catering options provided by Cottonwood on the Greens. To reserve the space, call 505-695-7225.
County officials note that a scheduled power outage for electrical maintenance is planned at the golf course on Monday, June 16. As a result, both the Pro Shop and Cottonwood on the Greens will be closed for the day. Normal operations are expected to resume Tuesday, June 17.
The community is encouraged to take advantage of the available amenities while restoration work continues on the course.
