20th Street Mixed-Use Development
20TH STREET MIXED-USE REDEVELOPMENT
The County Community Development Department, Economic Development Division, is in negotiations with a development partner to purchase and improve certain county-owned parcels collectively known as the 20th Street redevelopment. The redevelopment area (the “Property”) is comprised of two parcels, as noted in the solicitation documents linked below. The County will only considered a mixed-use development to include residential, small retail/commercial, structured parking, and a potential hotel.
The County has spent considerable time socializing the project and developing design concept plans in accordance with community plans and input. These conceptual plans are included for illustrative purposes as part of this solicitation to inform potential developers of the County’s expectations for development. The location of the Property is within the Downtown Master Plan and Los Alamos Main Street boundaries. Ashley Pond is located across the street and is a central community and social gathering place – host to the summer concert series and numerous year-round festivals. In addition, the Property is adjacent to the canyon rim with outstanding views of the Pajarito Plateau, Jemez mountains, and distant views to Santa Fe, NM.
