Join us for the 22nd Clean Up Los Alamos Day
The Environmental Services announced that it will hold its 22nd Clean Up Los Alamos Day in conjunction with National Clean Up Day, on September 20, 2025. Los Alamos County will join over 2 million volunteers across 50 states and U.S. territories with the goal of reducing litter and cleaning up local communities, parks, trails, beaches, and open spaces.
Volunteers who registered before September 12th can collect free gloves, trash bags, and trash pickers from the Environmental Services division between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Tuesday, Sept. 16th to Friday, Sept. 2th at the Los Alamos ECO Station, 3701 E. Jemez Road.
On Clean Up Los Alamos Day, volunteers may select their own hours to pick up trash for the area they identified in the application. The ECO Station and the White Rock Overlook Collection Center will accept collected trash on Saturday, Sept. 20th, for free between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. Individuals will be asked to present a driver's license or utility bill that shows they reside in Los Alamos County.

Registered Volunteers can pick up their trash pickers, trash bags, and gloves from Tuesday, September 16th through Friday, September 19th at the Los Alamos Eco Station. Residents will get free disposal at the Eco Station and Overlook Collection Center on Saturday, September 20th by showing a driver's license or utility bill.
