On-Call Environmental Consulting Services: Walnut Canyon Restoration

Los Alamos County Parks and Open Space will be conducting restoration work along the stream corridor of Walnut Canyon during the month of November. The scope of the project consists of stream corridor stabilization, restoration, invasive species removal, soil and water conservation, and revegetation techniques. On this 30-acre parcel, restoration control methods will be installed. These methods will be implemented in accordance with established guidelines to minimize environmental and aesthetic concerns, as well as enhance the ecological health of the drainage.
During the duration of the project, Walnut Canyon will be closed for recreational use. The Walnut Canyon Rim Trails will remain open for use.
