County government offices closed Monday for Indigenous Peoples Day

Indigenous Peoples Day United States of America Second Monday of October
In observance of Indigenous Peoples Day, some Los Alamos County government offices and services will close or have modified hours on Monday, Oct. 13. 
The County’s administrative offices, Atomic City Transit fixed bus routes, and the Environmental Services division are closed on Monday. In addition, the following facilities will close or have modified hours:
  • Camp May Road - Open over the weekend from 7 p.m. Thurs. to 7 p.m. Sun.
  • White Rock and Mesa libraries – Open 1 p.m. To 5 p.m.
  • Aquatic Center – Open 1 p.m. To 4 p.m.
  • Los Alamos County Ice Rink – Closed
  • Golf Course and Golf Shop – The Golf Shop and Driving Range are open normal business hours. The course will be closed.
  • Utilities will be closed for regular business, however crews are on-call for emergencies 24/7 by calling 505-662-8222.
  • Environmental Services commercial/residential refuse/recycle services will resume on Tuesday, Oct. 14. If the observed date falls on your normal trash day, place your materials out on Wednesday, Oct. 15.
  • Atomic City Transit – ACT MyRide on-demand service will be available on Saturday, Oct. 11, and will operate from 6 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 13 - Call 505-661-Ride (7433) to schedule. No fixed bus route service will be available. Regular services will resume Tuesday, Sept. 2. Bandelier Shuttle service continues to be suspended until further notice.
