County government offices closed May 26 in observance of Memorial Day

In observance of Memorial Day, some Los Alamos County government offices and services will close or have modified hours on Monday, May 26, 2025. 

The County’s administrative offices, Atomic City Transit fixed bus routes, and the Environmental Services division are closed on Monday. In addition, the following facilities will close or have modified hours:

-      Camp May Road - Open for the Memorial Day holiday – No construction activity.

-      White Rock and Mesa libraries  - Closed

-      Aquatic Center - Leisure Lagoon open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., main pool and therapy pool will be closed.

-      Los Alamos County Ice Rink – Closed

-      Golf Course and Golf Shop – Closed, including the driving range.

-      Utilities will be closed for regular business, however crews are on-call for emergencies 24/7 by calling 505-662-8222.

-      Environmental Services commercial/residential refuse/recycle services will resume on Tuesday, May 27. If the observed date falls on your normal trash day, place your materials out on Wednesday, May 28.

-      Atomic City Transit – No fixed bus routes or Dial-a-Ride service will be available. Regular services will resume Tuesday, May 27. Bandelier Shuttle service will continue to operate within the park during the holiday.
