A contractor working on the Bathtub Row Roadway and Utilities Replacement project hit a water line near 15th Street and Iris Street this morning. Water crews from the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities (DPU) have been dispatched for repairs.

Water is turned off for commercial customers in the vicinity while the water main is being fixed. Impacted customers are in the building in the southeast quadrant of Central Park Square that runs parallel to Central Avenue and the Los Alamos National Laboratory building in Central Park Square. DPU’s crews expect the water to be restored by noon.

DPU can be reached at (505) 662-8333 during business hours, by email at CustomerCare@lacnm.us, or in person during business hours (M-F, 8-5) at the Los Alamos County Municipal Building. Urgent issues outside of business hours should be directed to (505) 662-8222. For general input on any utility topic, community members may submit an online form at ladpu.com/feedback .
