The first episode features LAPD Commander Ross and road safety

Los Alamos County has released the first episode of Fusion, a new video podcast designed to connect the community with information about county programs, services, and issues that impact daily life. Hosted by the County’s Communications and Public Relations (CPR) team, Fusion will feature conversations with staff on a variety of topics.

The inaugural episode features Los Alamos Police Department Commander Christopher Ross and CPR’s Rachel Freeman. They discuss “Operation Just Drive,” a road safety initiative focused on protecting the community. Ross explains the difference between distracted and reckless driving and highlights two newly adopted county ordinances: one prohibiting the use of handheld mobile devices while driving, and another authorizing the installation and use of automated speed cameras.

The first episode of the Fusion podcast is available now on the Los Alamos County YouTube channel, with short excerpts coming to the County social media channels soon.

Residents are encouraged to stay tuned for future conversations, including community development, Atomic City Transit MyRide, and important budget topics.
