Utility payment method enhanced with new convenience feature

The payment portal used on the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities (DPU) website for web payments has a new feature called BillWallet™  that allows customers to save payment information for more convenient future transactions.

“Customers have expressed a desire to save their payment information when paying online and we’re excited that our vendor for online payments, Paymentus, has added that option to the payment portal’s functionality,” said Joann Gentry, DPU Deputy Utility Manager of Finance and Administration. “Customers who are more comfortable not saving information can continue to make one-time payments without storing any of the personal information necessary for just one transaction.”

Customers who choose to save their information for future payments when they use BillWallet™ will create a secure account with Paymentus. This payment information is not stored on the County website or in association with the County or DPU.

Other features in BillWallet™ include scheduling future payments and making payments on multiple connected accounts. Access to BillWallet™ and all other payment options for utility payments to DPU, can be found at ladpu.com/pay.
