Los Alamos County invites residents, business owners, landlords, tenants, HOAs, commuters, and all interested community members to attend a public meeting for a presentation of the draft Fleet Conversion Plan and Community-Wide EV Charging Plan. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Council Chambers (1000 Central Avenue, Los Alamos) and via Zoom for those unable to attend in person. The County encourages feedback from the community to help shape the future of local transportation and electric vehicle infrastructure across the county.
The Fleet Conversion Plan outlines how the County will gradually transition its existing fleet—such as light-duty cars, work trucks, and service vehicles—to more efficient and lower-emission options over time. The Community-Wide EV Charging Plan proposes where, when, and how electric vehicle (EV) chargers should be installed to support residents, commuters, local businesses, and visitors. Together, these plans provide a roadmap for the next 25 years.
The draft plans will be available for public review and comment from December 3 through December 17, 2025. Individuals are encouraged to review the documents and submit feedback during this two-week period. An online comment form will be available, or written comments may be emailed to angelica.gurule@losalamosnm.gov. Feedback will be reviewed and incorporated into the final plans, which is scheduled for presentation to the Los Alamos County Council in February 2026.
More information, including the draft plan and project updates, are available on the project page.
Public feedback will be accepted from 12/3 – 8 a.m. until 12/17 at 5 p.m. MST. Comments will be accepted using Microsoft Forms: Feedback Submission for the Los Alamos County Fleet Conversion Plan & EV Charging Plan – Fill out form
