Power out for 1300 properties

Electric distribution crews from the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities (DPU) are responding to a power outage that is impacting about 1,300 utility customers in Los Alamos.

The impacted areas are on electric circuit 13, which includes Western Area, neighborhoods off Trinity Drive down to Oppenheimer, and the Pajarito Mountain ski area.

The cause of the outage is not yet known and as of 8:50 a.m., restoration time has yet to be determined.
