Jigsaw Puzzle Competition for Teens and Adults

Held during Tabletop Game Day, teams of two will race to complete a 300-piece puzzle. This event has become one of the library’s most popular adult programs. Registration is required.
“All December programming is designed to carve out moments of joy, mindfulness, and community,” said Melissa Mackey, youth librarian. “On the busy WinterFest weekend, we love seeing people come in to make something simple or simply sit. These quiet pleasures of crafting and creating connection are so important.”
Aimee Doiron, adult program specialist, added, “This time of year can be hectic. Last year’s de-stress programs were so well-received that we’ve expanded them. We’re offering more opportunities for people to reconnect with themselves.”
Doiron also praised the forest bathing workshop: “Kristine is a beacon of calm in our community. There’s a growing body of research on the benefits of forest bathing, and we’re excited to offer this introduction.” In addition to the Forest bathing program, the Library is also bringing in Santa Fe-based expert teacher and studio owner, Lisa Pelletier, who will lead participants through a series of exercises to help combat holiday stress.
