Los Alamos County Council recognized members of the Administrative Services Finance Division on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025, for being awarded the Triple Crown Honor issued by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), which recognizes governments who have received GFOA’s Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), Popular Annual Financial Reporting Award (PAFR), and the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award. In addition to the GFOA recognition, Administrative Services Director, Helen Perraglio announced the achievement and recognition by the New Mexico Office of the State Auditor (OSA) and the New Mexico Counties (NMC) joint Audit & Accountability Award for the County’s FY23 audit. Each year, OSA and the NMC select counties that prove their dedication to ethical financial practices to safeguard public assets and who perform outstanding work on audits, having sustained excellence with high audit opinions. Los Alamos County was recognized at the 2025 NMC Legislative Conference held January 23, 2025, for the 9th year in a row.

Perraglio thanked the Finance Division staff for their dedication and hard work and gave kudos to the Departments, staff, and the County Council that work so cohesively and under high standards of compliance to achieve these honors.
