Los Alamos County Information Management reports that the network provider, REDINet, was restored December 10 at 11:38 p.m. REDINet began experiencing downtime the morning of December 10, following a hardware failure. The two County networks affected included “LAC Public,” at all County facilities, and “Discover LA,” the free Wi-Fi available in the Los Alamos downtown historic district.

The downtime was caused when REDInet experienced a hardware failure involving a critical component. County IT Program Manager Marlena Sanchez thanks the community for their patience and understanding as services were being restored.
