Contractor Meeting Scheduled in Los Alamos for November 2024

Los Alamos County is hosting a Contractor Meeting on November 8, 2024, from 1 - 3 p.m. at the Council Chambers. This meeting is open to contractors, architects, engineers, and other professionals involved in building and construction.
The meeting, titled “Code Compliance Mastery: Tips & Tools for Contractors” will cover key topics such as a review of Los Alamos County's current codes, tips on how to pass inspections, when design professional stamps are required, and insulation tips to meet code standards.
The event will feature two guest speakers, Architect Steve Shaw and Professional Engineer Massoud Mogadham, who will share advice for ensuring compliance in future projects.
“This meeting will give professionals an opportunity to clarify key regulations, ask questions, and gain practical tips to meet local code requirements efficiently,” said Michael Marquez, Plans Examiner at Los Alamos County.
Attendees are encouraged to participate in the open discussion and bring any questions regarding code requirements, inspections, or design concerns. This event promises to provide valuable information for all building professionals in Los Alamos County.
