Artificial Turf Study Public Input Process

Ongoing consultation

Artificial Turf Image

The Artificial Turf Study, conducted by NV5, aims to develop recommendations for optimal field designs and alignments that comply with regulations set by the New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA), USA Baseball, and USA Softball. The study also ensures compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and will provide detailed construction estimates, long-term maintenance costs, required equipment, and management strategies for field upkeep.

The study is expected to be completed by July 2025. These public sessions ensure that the needs and concerns of Los Alamos residents are addressed as part of the decision-making process. Community members are encouraged to share their input to help shape the future of local sports facilities.

PLEASE TAKE THE SECOND SURVEY!

Los Alamos County is requesting feedback on the draft framework plans presented, which include possible field realignments and relocations, improved parking and circulation, alternatives for placement of artificial turf, and additional amenities.

(Please note that field lighting will be considered in the next iteration of the drawings and recommendations.)
