In celebration of National Preparedness Month, Los Alamos County Emergency Management invites the community to a special event focused on emergency preparedness. The event will take place on Sept. 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the SALA Event Center. This free, family-friendly event will feature preparedness booths that include giveaways, children's activities with Penny the Preparedness Pup, a LANL Hazmat robot, and a flash flood model from the National Weather Service. Plus, don't miss the free screening of the movie "Twisters" at 7 p.m. with limited seating available.
