On April 30, 2025, Los Alamos County hosted a brief presentation and Q&A regarding the recent efforts of County staff on the best way to implement the WUI ordinance using industry best practices and the 2021 International Wildland-Urban Interface Code. The panelist were Juan Rael (Deputy County Manager), Chief Colorado Cordova (Fire Marshal), and David Martinez (Chief Building Official).
