Small wildfire contained at East Fork in the Jemez Mountains March 28

Sandoval County and the U.S. Forest Service responded to a small fire at East Fork in the Jemez Mountains on Friday afternoon, March 28. Los Alamos Fire Department (LAFD) response was not requested. Residents may see and smell smoke in the area, but LAFD officials indicate there is no cause for alarm. The fire was contained to one acre, and crews will remain to ensure no flare-ups.
