North Central New Mexico Economic Development District (NCNMEDD) is seeking feedback from the Los Alamos County community for their Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). NCNMEDD serves the counties of Los Alamos, Colfax, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Santa Fe, and Taos, with Sandoval County remaining a member but attached for planning to the Middle Rio Grande Council of Governments.

On March 13, local leaders, business owners, and community members gathered for a meeting hosted by NCNMEDD. This critical discussion was part of a broader initiative to shape the economic future of the NCNMEDD region. The meeting in White Rock brought people together to contribute their ideas and concerns. Participants engaged in meaningful dialogue to help establish specific goals and strategies aimed at fostering economic growth in Los Alamos County.

“The insights and perspectives shared by our community are invaluable in crafting an economic strategy that reflects the needs of our communities,” said Dr. Shanna Sasser, Economic Development Administrator at Los Alamos County. “By working together with NCNMEDD, we can build a stronger and more sustainable future.”

As the CEDS process continues, NCNMEDD encourages additional input from community members. Those who could not attend the meeting are invited to share their thoughts by completing a brief survey online. Feedback is essential in ensuring that the final plan aligns with the county’s needs and aspirations.
