Los Alamos County announces Danyelle Valdez as new Planning Manager

Los Alamos County is pleased to announce the hiring of Danyelle Valdez as the new Community Development Department Planning Manager. Valdez brings extensive experience in real estate development, land-use planning, and entitlement processes, having successfully managed projects across New Mexico and other states. She is deeply committed to responsible growth and community engagement, ensuring that development efforts align with the County’s long-term vision. Her passion for community development, planning, and infrastructure will be instrumental in leading impactful planning initiatives that enhance quality of life for residents.

Valdez holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of New Mexico, providing a strong foundation to her years of experience in strategic planning, financial management, and organizational leadership. With a background in collaborating with local governments and developers, she excels in coordinating complex projects and fostering meaningful partnerships. Her expertise in navigating zoning codes, regulations, and permitting requirements makes her a valuable addition to the County’s leadership team. In addition to her professional achievements, she actively volunteers and works to build strong, inclusive communities.
