Los Alamos County Community Services Department has partnered with CivicPlus to implement its Recreation Management software, CivicRec. The cloud-based solution allows residents greater visibility into the offered park and recreation divisions' activities, events, and memberships, as well as more convenient online registration and payment. It will also allow residents to search for and reserve community facilities, such as fields, RV camping, Lemon Lot spaces, pavilions, and shelters, all conveniently online.

CivicRec was made live for public use this morning, March 2, 2026. Current Los Alamos County Aquatic Center and Ice Rink Pass holders were migrated into the new system and can log in using the email address on file with RecTrac. Most non-pass holders will need to create a new account in the new system, which can be found here.

“The new system offers the community easier access to park and recreation activities, facilities, and registration,” stated Katherine Hudspeth, Recreation Superintendent.

The Community Services Department invites the community to view the new platform and create an account to seamlessly reserve a facility or register for an event. The CivicRec software is intuitive to navigate and easy for residents to use. It is mobile-friendly, allowing community members to search for local activities and events, register, and remit payment from any smartphone or tablet.

"CivicPlus designs innovative solutions for local governments," said Steve Gilbert, CivicPlus Vice President of Marketing. "We continually invest in our solutions to strengthen and transform the way governments work and communicate with their residents.
