Fuller Lodge parking during Bathtub Row Reconstruction project
Published on August 28, 2024
The Los Alamos County Public Works Department, in partnership with Department of Public Utilities and under contract with TLC Plumbing & Utility, is providing guidance to the public regarding parking, event, and pedestrian needs during the Bathtub Row Reconstruction Project. Phase 1 of the project has begun and involves a full road closure on Bathtub Row from Central Ave. to Oppenheimer Drive (Mesa Public Library driveway). Temporary parking arrangements and pedestrian detours for the Fuller Lodge area have been placed, providing safe access to the facility and businesses.
Parking: (see map)
Parking is available in the Mesa Public Library overflow lot accessed from Oppenheimer Drive (Mesa Public Library driveway). This parking lot is ADA accessible with designated handicap parking and direct access to the pedestrian detour. To exit the parking area, vehicles will need to go north on Bathtub Row, due to the closure.
Pedestrian Detour: (see map)
Pedestrian detours have been marked and are directly accessible from the south side of the parking area. Pedestrians will need to use the sidewalk along Central Ave. to get to the eastern side of Fuller Lodge. Pedestrians should avoid the construction area and remain on designated paths for their safety and the safety of the workers.
Vehicular Access Drop-off Point: (see map)
An access point has been created for 30-minute unloading and loading of supplies for events held at Fuller Lodge. All other traffic should avoid the area.
Individuals are encouraged to walk, bike or carpool when visiting the area in the vicinity of Fuller Lodge during the duration of the project. All vehicle traffic should be alert and drive slowly around the project, watching for pedestrians, bicyclists, and workers.
