Cross-Country Skiing Grooming at the Golf Course
Published on November 08, 2024
Due to staffing and equipment needs for safety operations for the community and our staff, grooming the golf course for cross-country skiing will be delayed. Although we will be making every effort to groom the course as soon as possible, we appreciate your patience for any delays we may realize. We look forward to seeing you out here enjoying a pleasant Nordic experience.
During periods of heavy snowfall and inclement weather, Parks and Open Space staff must prioritize the health and safety of our community, which may lead to temporary delays in grooming activities. We are committed to developing a streamlined grooming process that better balances these priorities, ensuring both a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
In the meantime, Cottonwood on the Greens is open and offers food and beverages to enjoy before or after your time on the course from 11am – 8pm. We invite you to warm up there and enjoy a relaxing break while we prepare the trails.
If you need more information or have any concerns, feel free to reach out to the Los Alamos County Golf Course at 505-662-8139. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to make your experience even better.
