Virtual LEPC Event: Helping Local Businesses Prepare for Emergencies

The Los Alamos County Office of Emergency Management (OEM), in partnership with Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation, will host a virtual Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) meeting focused on business preparedness and continuity planning on Monday, June 23, from 9 to 10 a.m. via Zoom.
This interactive session is designed to equip local business owners with practical tools and guidance to help them prepare for and respond to potential disruptions. The presentation will walk participants through the fundamentals of creating a Business Continuity Plan, also known as a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP), and address local challenges to maintaining operations during emergencies.
In addition to the presentation, the meeting will include a Q&A and open discussion to gather input, identify needs, and explore strategies for strengthening business and community resilience.
Local businesses of all sizes are encouraged to register and participate. The meeting is free to attend, and the agenda and materials will be made available in advance.
