Recovery Month - Paint the Art Tunnel

September is National Recovery Month and the Los Alamos County Social Services Division and the Los Alamos County Health Council have planned community events to foster support and connection. Free and open to everyone, the events aim to promote recovery and hope, and to break down the stigma surrounding addiction and mental health. No registration is required, and individuals can arrive at the location on the date and time to participate. The first of three is:

Paint the Art Tunnel: On Sunday, Sept. 22, at 12 p.m., paint squares in the community art tunnel with messages of recovery, hope, and resilience. Organizers will provide the paint and brushes. The community art tunnel is located within the Canyon Rim Trail underpass, below NM 502 and west of the Los Alamos CO-OP.
