The purpose of the Library Board is to receive input from the public and based on that input, make recommendations to the County Council that support the fulfillment of the library's mission in the community; to provide information and advice on items requested by the Council, and review and recommend public policies; to gather and provide public input on the development of library service objectives and the library's long range plan; interact with other boards and commissions on items that affect the libraries.

 

The Board meets on the first Monday of the month with the exception of May and August. Meetings are held at 5:30 p.m. in the Municipal Building, 1000 Central Ave, Room 110 with the exception of:

April 6, 2026 to be held at the White Rock Branch Library: 10 Sherwood Blvd, White Rock, NM

September 14, 2026 to be held at the White Rock Branch Library: 10 Sherwood Blvd, White Rock, NM
