The entire golf course will be closed from September 2nd through September 20th with a limited re-opening on September 21st. Chipping and putting will be available on the putting green. The Golf shop will remain open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily.

GOLF COURSE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT:

Mid-American Golf is still fast at work on our course renovation project. We have experienced a slower than expected “grow-in” of grass on the front nine, but the newly sodded and seeded areas are getting stronger, and we should see some holes on the front nine opening later in September.

Holes #16, #17, and #18 have seen completion of new concrete paths, sand bunkers and tee box complexes. Hole #16 green has been recontoured, and #18 green has been marked to begin recontouring beginning the end of August to first of September.

Holes #14 and #15 are currently having new tee boxes installed along with concrete paths and new bunker work. #15 green has been re-contoured. Hole #13 is also seeing new bunker work, and the back tee box on #12 has been reconstructed with the other tees on #12 soon to follow.

The practice range teeing area has a new retaining wall that is nearly complete. The new short game practice area is growing in nicely. Split rail fencing will be installed along the top of the retaining wall area along the path by the clubhouse, along the short game practice area and along the right side of hole #1 between the deflector netting and the main practice range netting.
