Customer Care Center Is Moving to the Boards & Commissions Room
Posted on 06/28/2021

Los Alamos County’s Customer Care Center, operated by the Department of Public Utilities, will temporarily relocate from its existing offices into the Boards and Commissions room, Suite 110 near the stairs when you enter the Municipal Building, 1000 Central Avenue, Los Alamos. The move will occur July 1, 2021, so that the existing Customer Care space can be remodeled to a layout that facilitates better privacy for individuals conducting business with the county. Customer Care representatives hope to be back in their offices by early September.

Deputy Utilities Manager Robert Westervelt encourages individuals to conduct as much business as possible with the Customer Care Center via phone, email or online once the remodel is underway. If in-person business is required, individuals will need to wear a mask. Westervelt added, “We thank Los Alamos citizens for their patience as we reconfigure the space for better efficiency and privacy.”

Los Alamos County’s Customer Care Center is more than a call center. Individuals can set up utilities’ accounts, pay utility bills and property taxes, request banners for the Diamond Drive overhead passes, request permits for the Lemon Lot, purchase cemetery lots and more. Call or email during hours of operation, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 505.662.8333 or or visit the website at
