Welcome to the Los Alamos County Ice Rink 

This rink is an outdoor community Rink established in 1936. The Los Alamos County Ice Rink is the only refrigerated, NHL regulation, outdoor ice rink in New Mexico.

As this only regulation NHL refrigerated outdoor ice rink in New Mexico we offer competitive ice hockey and recreational skating from November through February and are open 120-125 hours per week weather permitting.

The Los Alamos County Ice Rink is an outdoor Ice Rink. Being an outdoor Ice Rink means when weather conditions change such as snow, sleet, rain or warm weather, the Rink may be forced to close, sometimes on short notice.

Please dress warm and always call the Rink at 662-4500 or check the announcements section below before visiting for conditions.

For your convenience the Rink offers a warming hut with a concession stand stocked with hot cocoa, coffee, pizza, hot dogs, chips, candy bars, sodas, water, and other assorted items. The warming hut has large picture windows to view the skaters and the picturesque canyon while staying warm and sheltered from the elements.
