Nestled at the base of the Jemez Mountains atop the Pajarito Plateau, Los Alamos Golf Course
offers a challenging 6,500 yard, par 72, 18-hole layout. The course built in 1947 by the Atomic
Energy Commission, is one of the oldest 18-hole courses in New Mexico. Playing through
Ponderosa Pine and Cottonwood, the sloping fairways and small greens provide a challenge to
players of all skill levels. Panoramic vistas and clear, fresh mountain air provide a beautiful
setting for an enjoyable round of golf.
Golf Course Closed for the Season
With the recent colder weather and forecasted temperatures in the high 30's to low 40's during the day and in the mid to high 20's at night along with a couple of potential weather systems that may bring snow, the course will close until further notice.
In the winter play policy, we estimate that we'll be closed through January and as the sun begins to warm we'll look to open based upon temperatures and protecting the turf.
Season Passes go on sale January 4, 2015.
On behalf of the golf staff we'd like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families all the best during this holiday season. We look forward to seeing all of you in 2015!!
