Hi all,
Well it’s turning into a rather long and cold winter. We have been hard at work getting the new fee structure ready for this season. The fees go before Council on the 16th of March. We are proposing no increase in the annual pass this season. This is great news for those of you who get season passes each year and for those of you who maybe considering the season pass for this upcoming season. The 18 hole rate is proposed to go up $1 to $30 Monday – Thursday and $2 to $32 Friday through Sunday.
PRO SHOP:
The golf course building project is moving along nicely. There will be a public meeting with conceptual designs of a new building and possible remodel of the current building and the costs associated with each. Thursday, Feb 25th, at the Larry Walkup Aquatic Center training room from 5pm to 8pm. We’d like to see you there and to get your feedback.

LAGA:
The LAGA has worked this winter on their fee structure. There will be no increase in fees for an LAGA / Sun Country Handicap membership this season. $55 includes; 1 family membership to the LAGA and 1 handicap, each additional adult handicap is $20 and Juniors, under the age of 18 is $3. They have added an LAGA Member Only fee this year. This is for players who have a Sun Country handicap at another facility or for players who do not wish to have a handicap. The cost will be $35; this fee will include your entire family.
The LAGA is an important organization. The fees they collect go to Golf Course improvements, Jr. Golf, Scholarships as well as sponsoring local events at our golf course. Become a member of the LAGA this year!!!!!
I will be deactivating the handicaps for the season beginning Feb. 15th. Players may reactivate their handicaps by coming to the golf shop and paying their dues for the season. LAGA / Sun Country handicap forms will be ready on the Feb. 15th.
Maintenance:
We have a new Golf Course Superintendent Richard Matteson. He is from Fort Morgan, Colorado and will officially start on Monday December 28th.
