The Aquatic Center offers swim lessons for youth and adults as certified by the American Red Cross program.

• Parent And Child Level 1 (Age 6 months-5 Years) Therapy Pool
• Preschool Level 2 (Ages 3-6 Years) Therapy Pool
• Beginners Level 2 (Ages 6-12) Prerequisite pass Preschool Level 3
• New Preschool Level 3 (Ages 3-6 Years) Therapy Pool     
• Main Pool Level 3 (Ages 5-14 Years) Prerequisite: Pass Level 2
• Main Level 4 (Ages 5-14) Prerequisite: Pass Level 3
• Main Level 5 (Ages 5-14 Years) Prerequisite: Pass Level 4

Please note: All classes must have a minimum of 4 students for class to be offered, so please sign up early.

LIFEGUARD & WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR

TRAINING & CERTIFICATION

LIFEGUARD TRAINING PREREQUISITES

• Students must be 15 years of age
• Swim 300 yards continuously, using front crawl and breaststroke
• Swim 20 yards, surface dive to a minimum depth of 7 feet, retrieve a 10-pound object and swim 20 yards back

WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR PREREQUISITES

• Students must be 16 years of age
• Swim front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke, sidestroke for 25 yards and butterfly for 15 yards

RECERTIFICATION:

Lifeguard Training Challenge

• Must have current, but expiring, Lifeguard Training Certification
• Pass three skills scenarios and a written final

Professional CPR/AED Challenge

• Pass all the skills and written final
