Enjoy a movie while floating in the shallow end of the pool or lounging on the floor in the training room. Doors open at 6:30pm and the fee includes pool admission, a feature length movie and treats.

The Introduction to Kayaking is what you can learn right here at the Walkup Aquatic Center. Upon completion of this 5.5 hr. class, you'll be well prepared for leisure paddles on flat-water, easy rivers or continue learning in the 2-day Intro to Whitewater or 2-day Intro to Sea kayaking clinics. New Mexico has plenty of places to paddle...and Los Alamos is smack-dab in the middle of it all! Not only will you learn the right technique to paddle efforlessly, you'll also learn about the many different types of kayaks on the market. There will be a variety of whitewater, recreational, touring, fishing and sit-on-top kayaks are available, you can see for yourself which is right for you. Open Boating

LAST TUESDAY OF THE MONTH

Gates open at 7:30pm for cleaning.

Practice time for canoes, kayaks and rafts.

All water craft must be rinsed off on the patio prior to pool entry.

Boats and boaters allowed in the water at 7:45pm.

Boats and boaters MUST be out of the water by 8:45pm.

Boaters arriving after 8:15pm will not be permitted entry.

FEE: $5.00 per person entering the pool

OPEN SCUBA

Open SCUBA time is designed to provide deep water pool time for certified SCUBA divers to test their equipment and provide an opportunity to practice SCUBA Skills.

Open SCUBA will be offered on Saturdays from 3:00-5:00pm on the following dates.

April 10th May 8th

NOTE: Regular pool fees apply
