Recreation Needs Assessment Implementation Plan Update

The Recreation Needs Assessment has been completed and was endorsed in concept by Council on June 8th. A motion to accept the Recreation Needs Assessment as presented was accepted 7-0 with a directive to come back with an implementation plan. The plan should include three stages 1) What can we do within the framework we presently have; 2) What could we do if we had more regular employees and more funding; and, 3) What could we do if we had additional infrastructure/facilities as recommended by the Recreation Needs Assessment.

Recreation staff, Parks and Recreation Board and subcommittees have reviewed the Implementation Plan and was submitted to Max Baker, CAO whom fowarded document to Council.

If you wish to comment or be involved in any part of the implementation plan please contact Stephani Johnson, Community Services Director or any recreation facility manager.
