Welcome Police Chief Sgambellone
Dino Sgambellone's first day will be Tuesday, November 12. He was selected from the top five finalists who traveled to Los Alamos in September to interview for the position.
He is currently the Police Chief in Mansfield, Ohio. Please welcome Dino and his family to Los Alamos when they arrive in November.
The Police Chief is a department director position, so Sgambellone’s hiring is contingent upon County Council approval at their meeting on October 29th.
The Los Alamos Police Department is a New Mexico Law Enforcement Professional Standards Council Accredited Law Enforcement Agency.

The Department is comprised of four Divisions, each with a Commander: Operations, Staff Services, Detention and Emergency Service.
