Photo of the Emergency Center dispatch buildingThe primary objective of the Communications Center is to ensure prompt, efficient response and assistance to persons requesting emergency service, as well as to ensure the support and safety of police personnel.

Dispatchers are the “Voice” of the Police Department and have a serious role and impact on departmental image. They are usually the first and very often the only contact the general public has with a law enforcement agency. The impression made on that first contact is a lasting one. It is our responsibility to provide the most courteous and professional service that we can to each and every citizen.

If you have an EMERGENCY call 911; if your questions or concern is NOT AN EMERGENCY please call 662-8222.

When you call 911 your name, telephone number and address will appear on the 911 screen, which is why it is called Enhanced 911. The dispatcher must confirm that the information that is displayed at the time of the call is complete and accurate.  The proper emergency response will be activated to handle your emergency.
