The Los Alamos County Parks Division proposes a multi-purpose, paved trail between Downtown and Airport Basin.

Phase 1, the Los Alamos Mesa Trail, connects East Park, the Aspen Ridge Assisted Living Facility, and Sombrillo Care Center with the airport with a 3000-foot paved pathway.
