CIP Phase 2 projects in July & August

At a special meeting on July 12th at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers, the Council will consider these four Phase 2 Capital Improvement Projects:

White Rock Visitors Center & RV Parking

North Mesa Ball Field Lights

Golf Course Community Building

County Records/Historical Archives

The Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) Evaluation and Oversight Committee had recommended that the four CIP projects move forward. Their recommendation came at a public meeting on May 6th. The four projects were recommended to move from Phase 1 (Study) to Phase 2 (Design & Construction). The Council subsequently considered all four projects at their June 8 council meeting but took no action to approve them.

The meeting will be televised LIVE on PAC-8 and via internet streaming.

In addition, two other Phase 2 projects -- one for improvements to SR 4 in White Rock and one for trails & pathway improvements along SR4 - will be considered at the August 17th Council meeting (7:00 p.m. in White Rock Fire Station #3). NOTE: These two projects were originally advertised to be considered at the July 27th Council meeting.

The meeting will be televised LIVE on KRSN 1490AM.

The Committee recommended on May 27 that these two projects move forward from Phase 1 to Phase 2 status.

Visit the CIP webpage and learn more about any of the above projects - you can download either the Phase 1 or 2 applications that were submitted, or read minutes of the CIP Committee Meetings. Visit the Council Meetings webpage to download the materials from the June 8 meeting, or, to read the agendas for the July 12 or August 17 meetings once they are posted (72 hours in advance of the meeting).
