Labor Management Relations Board

  • Purpose: Promulgates rules and regs necessary to perform its duties as established in the labor management relations ordinance (Chapter 30, Article II, Sec. 30-31 through 30-45) including: designation of bargaining units; selection, certification and decertification of exclusive representatives; and filing of, hearing on and determination of complaints of prohibited practices. Holds hearings as needed.
  • Authorization: Los Alamos County Labor Management Relations Ordinance No. 85-163, as amended; County Code Chapter 8, Article V, Sections 8-141 through 8-144..
  • Composition: Three members: one recommended by labor, one recommended by management, and a third recommended by the other two.
  • Term: 1 year, commencing September 1 and ending on August 31.
  • Meetings: Twice a year or as needed.
