2010 Results

The 7th Annual Clean Up Los Alamos Day was a great success with 27 community groups coming together to help clean up areas throughout Los Alamos.  These groups were made up of more than 500 individuals and resulted in the collection of a little over 1,100 pounds of garbage.  The volunteer appreciation picnic was also a success, even thought the weather did not exactly cooperate.  On the behalf of the event sponsors, Los Alamos National Bank, Los Alamos County Environmental Services, Coca Cola Bottling Company of Santa Fe and the Los Alamos County Community Wildfire Protection I would like to thank this years participants:

The Master Gardeners, the Shalles, Los Alamos Girl Scouts, Our Lady of the Woods, Trash Team Bennett, Pack 22/Troop 22, Merrick and Company, Los Alamos Chinese Christian Fellowship, LAHS Special/Severe Needs, Little Sprouts Preschool, Ponderosa Montessori, the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter-Day Saints, the Rotary Club, Cub Scout Pack 222, the Gaw Family, Family YMCA, Brian Watkins and Friends, Team Pteranodon, Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos, Starbucks, White Rock Girl Scouts, the Lauritzens, Cub Scout Pack 229, the Unitarian Church, Sue Hofman State Farm Insurance, Pack 20 and Xi Nu of Beta Sigma Phi

Heave-Ho, volunteers toss their collected trash into the roll off before heading over for a hot dog.
