Clickable picture for Emergency Alert radio station informationWelcome to the County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) web page. OEM helps enhance public safety by assisting other County departments with disaster preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery. Current OEM projects include revision of an all-hazards emergency operations plan; expanding means of alerting the community in the event of a disaster, educating the public on emergency preparedness, and using federal homeland security and emergency planning funds to the improve the County’s overall disaster and terrorism preparedness. We work closely with the NM Office of Emergency Management, LANL Emergency Management & Response, the Los Alamos Medical Center, Los Alamos Public Schools, the American Red Cross, the Los Alamos Amateur Radio Club, and all County departments to help protect those who live, work, and visit here.

To report a County Utilities emergency call:
(505) 662-8333 during business hours
(505) 662-8222 after hours & on weekends

OEM activities are supported by the New Mexico Office of Emergency Management (NM OEM) through a grant awarded by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).  This website does not necessarily reflect NM OEM's or DHS's views.
