Community Services Department Director - Stephani Johnson

The Community Services Department provides and coordinates safe, welcoming, high-quality, cost-effective programs, services and special events for our citizens in a responsive and courteous manner in order to foster community spirit, build individual self-confidence and enhance the quality of life.

The Community Services Department oversees the following

Library Division

The Los Alamos County Library System is dedicated to enriching our community by ensuring easy and equal access to a variety of ideas, current information, and evolving services for all.

Recreation Division

The Recreation Division consists of the public Golf Course, Larry R. Walkup Aquatic Center, and Ice Rink. Through these facilities numerous programs and events are offered for people of all ages.

Parks Division

Strive for continuous improvement in the promotion of safety and the quality of the Parks infrastructure through reliable and consistent maintenance, design, development, and enhancement of the facilities and aesthetics of parks, public grounds, and trails and open space of Los Alamos County.
