ATTENTION CUSTOMERS Office Operations & Service Changes During COVID-19 (updated 7/6/20)
Due to growing COVID-19 concerns, and in continuing to align with directives from the Governor’s Office and Los Alamos County, beginning Monday, July 6th, and until further notice, all in-person services and transactions are suspended.  

Customers are highly encouraged to continue to stay safe, a

    Pursuant to NMSA 1-4-5.7, a qualified elector seeking to register to vote or update an existing certificate of registration immediately before voting shall provide:

    • (1) a New Mexico driver's license or New Mexico identification card issued through the motor vehicle division of the taxation and revenue department;

    • (2) any document that contains an address in the county together with a photo identification card; or

    • (3) a current valid student photo identification card from a post-secondary educational institution in New Mexico accompanied by a current student fee

    information. County Clerk Maestas would like to remind voters that the Los Alamos County Clerk’s Office is your trusted, 
    credible, and verified source for election information.

    We have begun to promote #TrustedInfo2020 via our social media outlets, which encourages voters to go directly to election officials websites and verified social media pages to ensure that they are getting accurate information. Through this initiative, we will continue to inform voters about the election process, voter registration, voting, and much more. Ultimately, the goal of our office is to empower every eligible Los Alamos County resident to register to vote and make their voice heard in every election.
